The Internship Program provides opportunities to inspire young scientists and other science professionals to work in all areas of the Institute. Interns are assigned to a mentor who is a member of the Institute's faculty or senior staff. Internships are available for high school and college students, and teachers. JCVI focuses on human genomic medicine, infectious disease, plant, microbial and environmental genomics, synthetic biology and biological energy, bioinformatics, and software engineering. High school students must be at least 16 years old by one month prior to the start of their internship and have preferably completed their junior year. A 'B' average is required as well as a strong interest in the selected career.
Check the JCVI Career Opportunities website to apply for various internship positions as they become available.
