Within CHORI’s eight research centers, CHORI investigators probe all aspects of health and wellness, including asthma, birth defects, cancer, cardiac disease prevention, childhood obesity and diabetes, iron metabolism, HIV/AIDS, sickle cell anemia, and mechanisms of immunity and bacterial proliferation. The Summer Research Program's objective is to provide summer research opportunities for under-represented high school students. High school juniors or seniors (i.e. junior or senior status in June 2014), with at least one year in math and biology are eligible to apply.
